As a performer the fame, spotlight, drugs and scandals are a given, but she must be remembered solely for the contributions made to the music industry, for during her prime she was one of the best vocals to ever grace the music scene and was regarded as being a role model to singer Mariah Carey among others.

Whitney leaves behind a daughter Bobbi Brown and daughter of “New Edition” star Bobby Brown, who has had numerous brushes with the law. Their marriage was highly publicized as it was then one started to notice a change in Whitney and then later we found out she was a victim of domestic abuse. She and Bobby Brown divorced in 2007 and before appeared together in the reality show “Being Bobby Brown.

RIP Whitney God Has You Now
Whitney's in a better place right now
Than she’s ever been before;
All pain is gone; she’s now at rest;
Nothing troubles her anymore.
It’s we who feel the burden of
Our sadness and our grief;.
We have to cry, to mourn our loss,
Before we get relief.
We know we’ll reconnect with her
At the end of each life’s road;
We’ll see her cherished face again
When we release our earthly load
